Bukimi Miki’s ‘SHY’: From Manga to Anime

Miki first published SHY in Weekly Shonen Champion magazine as a one-shot in January 2017. It then began serializing as an actual story in August 2019. Currently, Yen Press is scheduled to release the manga in English. The first compiled volume for SHY is scheduled to release on December 13th.

The story for SHY is currently described as;

Earth is now on the brink of a third World War when super-powered individuals came forth from each country around the globe. Because of this, the conflict ended and ushered in a new era of relative peace. Among these heroes, Japan is represented as a timid young girl known as “Shy”. She may spend more time worrying about her own shortcomings than she does battling villains, but she’ll show the world that despite it all she still has the heart of a hero!

Currently, there is no release timeline from 8-Bit for SHY, or any other confirmations for staff members. 8-Bit’s other anime BLUELOCK  is set for release on October 9th. Crunchyroll will be posting the series as it airs in Japan.
