Based on the original light novel by Shobonnu and illustrated by Sogawa, I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills follows a young man named Al Wayne, who has an intense passion for farming and maxes out his cultivating skills to become a top-class farmer while also helping his friends and neighbors exterminate the monsters that disrupt their daily lives and harvest. However, when his last skill hits the max level 10, Al’s status undergoes a dramatic change and gives him abilities that surpass even the strongest legendary heroes of their world.
After accidentally exploding a dragon using only a carrot and saving the crown princess of the Meigis kingdom, Fal-Ys Meigis, Al gets dragged into battling monsters to protect the livelihoods of the people, despite his desire to live as an ordinary farmer. As he completes his adventurer quests between cultivating his fields, Al encounters the adventuring guild’s beautiful receptionist Helen, the adorable descendant of the Hero, Ruri, and several others who unwittingly fall for the farmer’s charms along with princess Fal-Ys
Including a son-obsessed mother and a wife-obsessed father, Al’s companions grow as he keeps running into trouble that disrupts his peaceful farming life; not to mention the villainous followers of the Evil God that continuously target him. Soon, Al begins to uncover the disturbing secrets behind his powers that may alter his fate.
I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills is produced by Studio A-Cat, known for She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man and Battle Game in 5 Seconds, so fans can anticipate high-quality animation quality that won’t fall behind the other heavy hitters this fall. With Norihiko Nagahama as the director, Touko Machida as the scriptwriter, and music composed by Takurō Iga, the anime’s stellar first episode broadcast on Japan’s Tokyo MX, SUN, BSNTV and HTB on October 1.
The series was set to premiere on HIDIVE in English, on the same day as the Japanese broadcast, however, Sentai Filmworks, who holds the license has delayed the premiere of I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills to October 8, airing alongside the second episode. Viewers can tune in to HIDIVE on October 8 to enjoy this entertaining fantasy tale about an overpowered farmer that just wants to live a quiet life.
