A Quick Recap!
The previous episode of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End began with the battle between Wirbel’s group and Fern’s party. Ehre, a virtuoso Mage from Wirbel’s group, used his magic against Fern. However, he remained stunned after witnessing Fern’s strength. It quickly led to a dual where Ehre fought against Fern while Wirbel faced Ubel. Wirbel used his binding spell magic to freeze Ubel. He also revealed that his spell could harm anybody within his vision. Despite his great efforts, Ubel managed to break free.
It also focused on Wirbel’s time as the Captain of the Northern Magic Corps. While he recalled his time back then, Fern caught him off-guard. But instead of attacking her opponent, she revealed she had already defeated Ehre, making Wirbel retreat. That was because he couldn’t afford to lose more members as it could disqualify them. But it was a lie. Just when Wirbel thought they couldn’t capture a Stille bird, he spotted a bird sitting idly on a tree. Finally, with his binding spell, he captured it, while Frieren lost hers because of Laufen.
