Berserk: The Golden Age Arc – Memorial Edition, a TV cut of the Berserk: The Golden Age Arc films that includes some new scenes, has started broadcasting in Japan, and international fans can enjoy this new series on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
Just after the broadcast of the first episode of Berserk: The Golden Age Arc – Memorial Edition, the official website of the anime adaptation has started a mysterious countdown, which hints that something big will be revealed at the end of the countdown.
The countdown ends on December 11. You might be asking: What’s so special about Dec 11?. Berserk: The Golden Age Arc – Memorial Edition episode 11 will be broadcasted on the same day. At the moment, we don’t know if episode 11 will be the final episode of the series, but if that is the case, fans should be prepared for a special announcement.
Fans who have been following the anime industry for a long time are aware that Berserk has not received the good anime adaptation that the series has deserved. The horrible CGI of Berserk 2017 is still “memed” to this day.
After the passing of legendary mangaka Kentaro Miura, fans feared that they would not be able to see the end of Gut’s journey. However, Miura’s assistant and close friend, Kouji Mori, stepped up to the occasion to complete the manga that his friend had started. Since the manga series has come back, it is only fair that Berserk anime gets a complete remake. But if that becomes a reality or not, we will have to wait for December 11, when the countdown ends.
Crunchyroll describes the anime series as follows:
Spurred by the flame raging in his heart, the Black Swordsman Guts continues his seemingly endless quest for revenge. Standing in his path are heinous outlaws, delusional evil spirits, and a devout child of god.Even as it chips away at his life, Guts continues to fight his enemies, who wield repulsive and inhumane power, with nary but his body and sword—his strength as a human. What lies at the end of his travels? The answer is shrouded in the “night.” Strain your eyes and stare into the dark!
