You hear that kickback in the distance?

- ‘CHAINSAW MAN’ PREMIERE STREAM: Crunchyroll; Hulu
Indeed, Tuesday is most certainly “Chainsaw Tuesday” as not only are fans treated to new episodes of the anime on this day each week, but new chapters of part two of the manga on a biweekly basis as well.
The “Chainsaw Man” anime is one of the most highly anticipated: The original manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto was one of the highest-selling manga of 2021 (according to Anime News Network) and has amassed a worldwide fandom.
The story follows that of Denji, a teenage boy driven to poverty due thanks to the debts accrued by his deceased father. In order to make ends meet, Denji and his sidekick dog-chainsaw devil, Pochita, hunt devils until one day the job goes terribly, terribly wrong.
That terribly, terribly wrong incident results in the merging of Denji’s and Pochita’s body, allowing for the former to assume the powers of the devil while still maintaining his humanity. This makes him a very attractive employee candidate for a government organization that specializes in hunting devils, thus launching Denji on a path to finding friends, a job he’s scarily good at, and—at last—toast with jam.
