Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 [Anime Review]

At heart, Komi Can’t Communicate is a romance anime, despite the first season focusing on the comedic side of Komi’s high school life. The relationship between Komi and Tadano flourishes in this season, with the first instance being their bonding during a Christmas party with classmates at the Komi household, which doubles up as her birthday. Our main characters get to sit beside each other and share a tender moment that makes the heart flutter.

However, the pièce de résistance comes with Valentine’s Day and the Japanese reciprocal holiday of White Day. Komi-san makes chocolates for her classmates, and the anticipation of the day gets to Tadano as he watches everyone around him get chocolate, but Komi can’t work up the courage to give him any yet. So instead, she finally musters up the courage and gives Tadano chocolate at his house, making his day, and all fan’s hearts melt.
