Animax Asia Airs Simulcast of Beast Tamer, Blue Lock Anime – News


Animax Asia announced on Wednesday that it will air a simulcast of the Beast Tamer and Blue Lock anime. It will also air the second season of the Rent-A-Girlfriend anime.

Animax Asia will premiere Beast Tamer, the television anime of Suzu Miyama and Hotosouka‘s Yūsha Party wo Tsuihou Sareta Beast Tamer, Saikyōshu no Nekomimi Shōjo to Deau (The Beast Tamer Who Was Exiled from His Party Meets a Cat Girl From the Strongest Race) novels, on October 3 at 8:30 p.m. GMT +8.

Muse Asia will also stream the anime in Southeast Asia.

The anime will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX on October 2, on Yomiuri TV and TV Aichi on October 3, on BS Fuji on October 4, and on AT-X and other channels on as-yet unannounced dates. AbemaTV will begin streaming the anime on October 1.

The story follows Beast Tamer Rein, who is banished from the hero’s party, because he can only use animals. He becomes an adventurer and meets a cat girl, who is part of the strongest species.

Atsushi Nigorikawa (A Destructive God Sits Next to Me) is directing the anime at EMT Squared. Takashi Aoshima (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!) is handling the series scripts. Shuuhei Yamamoto (Between the Sky and Sea) is designing the characters. Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia), Arisa Okehazama (Jujutsu Kaisen), and Naoyuki Chikatani are composing the music.

MADKID performs the opening song “Change The World,” while Marika Kōno performs the ending song “LOVE&MOON.”

Animax Asia will premiere the television anime of Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yūsuke Nomura‘s Blue Lock soccer manga on October 9 at 8:30 p.m. GMT +8.

Ani-One Asia will also stream the anime in Southeast Asia.

The anime will premiere in Japan on October 8 on TV Asahi and its affiliates in the “NUMAnimation” programming block. The anime will run for two consecutive cours (quarters of a year) with 24 episodes.

Tetsuaki Watanabe (Powerful Pro Yakyū Powerful Kōkō-hen) is directing the anime at 8-Bit with Shunsuke Ishikawa as assistant director. Taku Kishimoto (Haikyu!!, Silver Spoon, 2019 Fruits Basket) is supervising and writing the series scripts, and the manga’s Kaneshiro is supervising the story. Yutaka Uemura (Saga of Tanya the Evil director) is the concept adviser. Masaru Shindō (Fruits Basket, Macross Delta, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) is the main character designer and chief animation director, and Kenji Tanabe and Kento Toya are also character designers and chief animation directors. Jun Murayama is composing the music. Shugo Nakamura will perform the anime’s ending theme song “Winner.”

Kodansha USA Publishing is publishing the manga in English digitally and in print, and it describes the story:

Animax Asia will premiere the second season of the anime of Reiji Miyajima‘s Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) manga on October 17 at 10:00 p.m. GMT +8, with two episodes every Monday and Tuesday

The anime premiered in Japan on July 1. Muse Asia streamed the anime in Southeast Asia as it aired in Japan, and it describes the story:

Kazuya Kinoshita, the worthless college student. Was dumped by his ever girlfriend after only one kiss and a month together. “I don’t want to put up with this anymore.” In desperation, Kazuya decides to go on a date with a girl using a certain method. And what he founds at the meeting place was— “You’re Kazuya, right?” A beautiful girl, Chizuru Mizuhara smiles at him as she puts her black hair behind her ear.

Kazuomi Koga (Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color) again directed the anime at TMS Entertainment (in collaboration with Studio Comet), and Mitsutaka Hirota (Anime-Gataris, Nanbaka, The Prince of Tennis II) came back to supervise the series scripts. Kanna Hirayama designed the characters, and HYADAIN composed the music. The returning staff also included sound director Hajime Takakuwa, art director Minoru Akiba, color key artist Fumiko Ishiguro, compositing director of photography Shintaro Sakai, and editor Yumiko Nakaba.

The first anime season premiered in July 2020. Muse Asia licensed the anime and streamed it through the iQIYI service. Animax Asia also aired the anime in April 2021.
