Producer Porter Robinson will reunite with anime streaming service Crunchyroll for their forthcoming Second Sky festival.
Announced yesterday, the Crunchyroll Anime Shelter will bring some anime love to the music festival, which takes place on Saturday, October 29 at Oakland Arena Grounds in Oakland, California. For this stage, Crunchyroll will bring a slew of DJs from Tokyo’s iconic anime night club MOGRA. D-YAMA, Taku Inoue, and DJ WILDPARTY will spin at the stage. The Crunchyroll Anime Shelter will include “photo opportunities, interactive activities, and a Crunchyroll-branded bar offering a curated selection of anime-inspired drinks.”
Gita Rebbapragada, Chief Marketing Officer, Crunchyroll said this about the forthcoming event:
“We know that music is a big part of our fans’ lives and we are excited to share a unique Crunchyroll music experience at Second Sky in celebration with fans and attendees.”
Robinson also said this:
“MOGRA is one of my favorite places in the world — the all-night anisongs and incredible live VJing is an experience that has become rightfully famous worldwide and it’s somewhere I go every time I’m in Japan. Crunchyroll (who helped in the creation of “Shelter”) are bringing MOGRA to the US with Second Sky — if you’re coming to the festival don’t miss it!”
