Here Are BTS’s Favourite Anime That ARMY Should Watch During BTS Military Service

Published on October 19th, 2022

According to South Korean law, all able-bodied men aged 18 to 28 must serve 2 years in the military. The BTS members were given special permission to put off their military duties until they turned 30.

According to the BTS management company, the oldest boy band member, Jin (29), will begin the preparation for military service next month. All the other BTS members plan on following through with their military obligation during this period. BTS will likely return in 2025.

Who says ARMY can’t show how much they love BTS during their 2-year break? One way to feel closer to the boys is to watch their favorite anime series. After all, these are the shows that shaped their childhood.

Since members of the BTS, especially Jungkook and V, have already shown that they like anime, it would be an excellent idea for you to watch all their favorite anime series at once.

Naruto

It makes sense that all of the boys know about the anime Naruto. It is the most well-known anime ever. In the 28th episode of RUN BTS, they sang one of Naruto’s theme songs on Karaoke. With the signature being required, it’s clear that. The bandmates also did an iconic ninja run.

During an interview with Noisey, the band was asked to choose between One Piece, Naruto, and Dragon Ball. RM (Namjoon) of BTS chose Naruto as his favorite anime and praised it for having a real ending.

Suga (Yoongi) also loves the Naruto series. He demonstrated his love by cosplaying as Naruto in 2015.

One Piece

Jimin likes the anime One Piece a lot. He has a soft spot for Zoro, the swordsman of the Luffy’s pirate crew. Jimin now has all of the One Piece manga volumes. When asked about what Jimin’s dream was as a kid, he said that he enjoyed watching One Piece and his favorite character in the series is Zoro.

Jimin’s love can be seen in the picture when he receives an action figure of Zoro on his birthday.

Dragon Ball

During an interview, Noisey asked the BTS boys to choose between Naruto, Dragon Ball, and One Piece, they got into a big argument. Namjoon chose Naruto, but Suga tried to talk over everyone else by saying, “Dragon Ball,” “Absolutely Dragon Ball,”

Jin agreed with Suga, saying that Dragon Ball was a masterpiece.

My Hero Academia

When preparing for performances, V enjoys watching anime. Looks like he is a dedicated follower of the My Hero Academia series. He was spotted watching the My Hero Academia episode during MAMA 2017 backstage.

Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan inspired one of BTS’s songs, “Attack on Bangtan.” Every ARMY member who follows behind the scenes of the band’s dorm knows that all 7 of them are a massive fans of the Attack on Titan anime and manga series. They all have some Attack on Titan merchandise or even manga volumes.

Haikyuu

When it comes to BTS, Jungkook and Taehyung are the biggest Haikyuu fans. They are both huge fans of Haikyuu and have nothing but adoration for Shoyo Hinata. In one of the interviews, they went so far as to admit that they enjoy watching sports anime.

Slam Dunk

When he was in high school, Suga also played basketball. Even his stage name, “Suga,” (슈팅 가드), comes from the first syllables of “Shooting Guard,” the basketball position he played as a student.

It won’t be wrong to say that Suga is all about Slam Dunk. The anime series significantly influenced Suga while growing up, which is why he tries to talk about Slam Dunk at any chance he gets.

Spirited Away

Jungkook once said in an interview that when he was a kid, his dream was to be a character from an anime (Spirited Away) that could turn into a giant dragon.

Crayon Shin Chan

Hoseok may not be as into anime as other BTS members, but he still tells ARMYs to watch the show Crayon Shin-chan. The anime series Shin Chan is crazy popular in Asia and is known for its light-hearted comedy.
