Following months of build-up, the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man is now set to premiere. Before the airing of Episode 1, animation studio MAPPA has now released a trailer for the first episode.
The 15-second short preview mainly focuses on the main characters Denji, Makima, and Pochita, offering an idea of what will be covered in the premiere. Most of the preview is dedicated to showing moments of Denji becoming Devil Hunter and dealing with his newfound role.

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” – a man with a devil’s heart.
