Naruto Anime Gets Special Trailer To Mark the 20th Anniversary


Naruto anime released a new trailer titled “Road to Naruto” to look back on the story, as the anime marks the 20th anniversary today. The first episode aired on October 3, 2002. The special trailer was uploaded on studio Pierrot’s official YouTube channel and is 9-minute and 56-second long.

On the same day, to celebrate the 20th anniversary, the series launched an official website and released the manga’s author Masashi Kishimoto’s commemorative illustration along with his comment to fans.

Naruto is a shonen manga written by Masashi Kishi, serialized for 15 years, from September 1999 to November 2014 with a total of 72 volumes in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The story revolves around Naruto Uzumaki who dreams to be his clan’s leader Hokage, and an inspired TV anime series animated by Studio Pierrot from October 2002 to February 2007 as the first season, continued as Naruto Shippuden to March 2017. The sequel Boruto is currently airing from April 2017 and it follows the adventures of adult Naruto and his son Boruto Uzumaki.
