However, apart from an announcement, there was a lack of any poster or teaser from any of the show-runners. There sure was a teaser visual as a promo out in the public domain. What Is The Production Upto?

It was Studio Liden Films that was behind the animation and production of the first and the second seasons. It has only been a decade since the company started production. Not only Tokyo Revengers, but some other better banners associated with this firm are also Cells At Work and Goblin Slayer 2. So far, the schedule suggests that the company releases around five to ten shows in a year.

However, for the year 2023, seven shows are already on the list for the company. No other movie or OVA is on the list. This means that there is room to hear more announcements from Liden Films. But hearing about this decision, Hanma, Moebius, and Valhalla were the first people to leave the group on their own terms. The men with them were quick to follow suit and see the gang coming down to a smaller number.

With this, the Tokyo Manji gang had 350 members less than there would be. This is the opening point for the Tenjiku arc. Here, the story commences with Takemichi coming back to the present. He thinks that most of the conflict has been resolved. However, he finds in the real timeline that Tenjiku is a newer gang that has been emerging from the sidelines while they were away. This is a Yokohama gang that has emerged as the rival for the Tokyo Manji.

With the roll-out of events, this gang will call war upon the Tokyo Manji gang, knowing that they are on the verge of breakout at this point. Here, the war is to begin, and we see a lot of destruction and death at this point. It will be interesting to see how the events unfold at this point in time.

Is There Enough Source Material?

With the announcement of all the parts, it is clear that there is enough content for the third season to come. For context, the Tokyo Revengers Manga came out in 2017. By the time the manga ended on November 16, 2022, it had garnered unparalleled success in a lot of domains. In these five years, a total of thirty-one volumes have been released by Kodansha. And in addition to this, the total number of chapters in the manga is 278.

The two seasons of the anime were comprised of 37 episodes in total. However, they only ended up using the first 125 chapters of the text. With this, it is evident that only half of the content has been used in the story. This means that not only will there be a third season. But there will also be a season after this. As announced, the Tenjiku Arc will be the next plot for the story. After this, there is the final arc, titled the same. This brings the final conclusion to the story of Tokyo Revengers.
